Who Are We?
Accessible Design & Consulting is a one-stop source for people with disabilities, from arranging customized accessible bathroom or kitchen modifications and stairlifts and elevators, to providing walkers, standing aids, wheelchairs and scooters so you can enjoy the increased comfort, safety, and freedom of aging in place in your own home.
What Do We Do?
We begin by performing a Home Assessment. We analyze every area of the home from the front door to the bathrooms, kitchen, living room and bedrooms, and every entrance to the home. We even assess the garage and yard. This gives us information about possible problem areas that may pose a safety problem. In addition, we discuss the disability with the homeowner, caregiver, and family members, if necessary. It may sound like a lot of information but many disabilities progress with age and we prepare for the future. This can save time and money in the long run. The ultimate goal is to increase mobility, safety, and comfort...now and in the future.
What If I Don't Need Home Modifications?
Not a problem. Many of our customers already have accessible homes but they need additional products or are looking to upgrade. We have a fully-functioning website with hundreds of products available for purchase online from the comfort of your own home.
Why Choose Us?
Many home remodelers are very good at remodeling but they usually don't understand the specific needs of people with disabilities. Even if they do, it's very rare to find ones that also sell accessibility equipment. We are CAPS certified AND we sell products that match the needs of our customers. As an example, we understand what wheelchair will work best with a specific ramp. We match the products with the home modifications for a perfect fit.
We also understand that certain disabilities may require a stairlift today but an elevator next year. Why modify twice when you can get it right the first time?
What is Your Service Area?
We primarily perform accessible home modifications in the Southern California area (Los Angeles, Orange County, San Gabriel Valley), but we do national consulting and have worked with clients and other accessibility consultants around the country. We sell mobility equipment to individuals and builders worldwide through our website.
