Typical shower door tracks restrict movement in and out of the
shower or tub. A barrier-free trackless door system makes life
easier providing unobstructed access to the bathtub or shower.
The "glass" panels of a normal shower door have been replaced
with lightweight, hollow core polycarbonate panels.
The Shower Veil® Trackless Tub & Shower Doors are
made from virtually unbreakable, clear Veil-Lite Lexan (used in race car windows),
plastic weighing 85% less than double-strength glass, and will
not shatter. These panels
are commonly used in commercial buildings where high strength,
lightweight and the ability to transmit light are important. The
edge trim and hinges are made from high impact PVC
thermoplastic. The combination of these high strength
lightweight materials allow us to build doors to your color
choice and ship it economically direct to your home.
There are no tracks on top or bottom to clean or trip over. The
bottom of the door is bent inwards to direct the water back
into the bathtub or shower whether the door is open or closed
(see bottom picture on left). This feature, as well as the
design of the hinge, is patented and both are unique to the
Shower Veil® Door.
The Doors are available to fit shower stalls
32”-60” wide; available in 2 heights; 56” is standard for
bathtubs and 64” standard for shower stalls.
Installation can usually be done by anyone with basic DIY
(do-it-yourself) handyperson skills. A drill, level and
Phillips Head Screwdriver for most installs, a ceramic tile wall
requires a sharp punch and hammer. To finish, clear silicone
caulk.
The trackless doors can be custom
built with panel color and tint options: white, almond and black trim with either a
clear or a bronze panel.
The Shower Veil Doors come with a one year limited warranty
and may be returned, for any reason, within the 30 days of
receiving the product. A return number must be obtained from
Lyons to get a full refund and the customer is responsible for the freight cost to return the doors.
