Get Home Smart

The ability to live independently while managing a chronic condition from home has enormous benefits. In addition to the necessary medical equipment needed, it’s important to know what types of home construction, furniture and furnishings available to make lives as functional and comfortable as possible.

AIPatHome is expanding our focus on educating consumers about universal design homes & products, telecare and other assistive technologies that support a person’s ability to age in place to include the products and services that support independent living.

We are working with the Midstate Independent Living Consultants in Stevens Point, Wisconsin to produce an online tour of the Chairs and Cares Model Accessible Home (a 4600 square foot demonstration home) as a key component of our initiative. Our intent is to reach consumers, their family members, Independent Living and Age In Place Professionals to help them learn about accessible design and remodeling along with related furnishings, fixtures, appliances, equipment and a wide range of assistive technologies that make independent living possible.
