Chairs & Cares Model Accessible Home
The Chairs & Cares Model Accessible home is a 4600 square foot demonstration center for independent living.

We invite you to join our campaign to help people find the products, services and other resources that will help them successfully live independently and age in place.

If you are a vendor are you using online video and social media to promote your products and services to the age in place and independent living market? If not then you should be working with us and our production team. If you are then you should join forces with us to maximize your impact.

AIPatHome.com is launching an online campaign to promote products and services like yours that support a person’s ability to safely live independently and age in place.

Our intent is to help consumers, their family and the professionals who help them

  1. Learn about accessible design and construction along with related furniture, fixtures, appliances, equipment and technology.
  2. Actually see examples of what is available in a residential setting.

Featuring the Chairs & Cares Model Accessible Home

We are working with the Midstate Independent Living Consultants to take the Chairs and Cares Model Accessible Home to a new level of visibility – showing more people – what independent living can look like and how it can be achieved.

We are producing an online tour using videos, photo galleries and detailed product information – similar to our tours in the showcase section of AIPatHome.com.

The home is owned by the North Central Technical College and located on their campus in Wausau, Wisconsin. It’s a 2-story, 4600 square foot home with 3 car garage that is not lived in and never will be. Nor will it sold — it will always be used as a demonstration home for independent living. MILC manages the home and its public tours.

Social Is It

Social media tools: Facebook, Twitter,YouTube, will be used allowing for greater cross promotion and involvement by all campaign participants. And traditional methods of outreach will also be used: e-publications,  print and other outlets.

Our Independent Living Campaign will be promoted to consumers, their family, professionals, Independent Living Centers nationwide and other related organizations internationally.
